Bulut Ünvan was born in 1987 in Cyprus. In 2005, he went to the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom to pursue higher education in Political Science, a year later to Nottingham Trent University for the same purpose, and then to the University of Greenwich in London in 2009 to pursue higher education in Philosophy. He then continued to Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Leuven, Belgium, to study for a master’s degree in Western Literature. During 2013, when he paused his undergraduate education, he continued the certificate program offered in the field of Creative Writing Education at Bilgi University in Istanbul. He worked as a research assistant at the Missing Persons Committee between 2018-2021. He has been working as a lecturer in the field of “Turkish Literature and Creative Writing” at The English School (Nicosia) since 2021 and continues his doctoral studies at the University of Cyprus, Department of Turkish and Middle Eastern Studies. He likes rainy weather, long aimless night walks, and all forms of narrative, especially literature.
